Abstract

Weaning is done by gradually reducing breastfeeding, while supplementary foods are added so that breast milk is finally stopped and the baby gets adult food at the age of two (Sediaoetama. 2012). This study aims at the behavior of mothers in breastfeeding weaning in children aged <2 years in the old village of Hamparan Perak District in 2017. This type of descriptive research uses a cross-sectional time approach method that is a method of data retrieval carried out at a momentary time or a measurement. This method aims to see an overview of Mother Behavior in Weaning in Children <2 years old in the Old Village of Silver Overlay District in 2017. Population is the entire object to be studied (Notoadmodjo, 2010). The population in this study were all mothers who had children <2 years old in the Lama Village Hamparan Perak District as many as 55 mothers. From the results of the study obtained a majority of the majority of respondents knowledge good knowledge as much as 40 respondents (77.1%), the majority of respondents have good knowledge as much as 46 respondents (83.6%), and the majority of respondents' actions carried out as many as 44 respondents (80.0%). The results of this study are expected to be expected to provide input for midwives to assist mothers in carrying out breast milk weaning process for children and the results of this study are expected to provide input for mothers in Hamparan Perak Subdistrict Village to apply their knowledge in breastfeeding weaning. in children <2 years old.
