Decreased movement function in the elderly causes the elderly to become dependent on other people. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knee joint pain and the daily activities of the elders. This research method is descriptive correlation of 32 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire the Numeric Pain Rating Scale and questionnaire of independence of the elderly daily activities based on the Katz Index. The results of the study showed a relationship between the level of joint pain and daily activities in elderly people who experience knee osteoarthritis. This study found 54.5% of elderly people experienced mild pain and 35.1% of elderly people experienced mild dependence. There is a significant relationship between elderly people who experience joint pain in daily activities with p value <0.01, where the p value is smaller than 0.05 (p<0.05) and r= 0.689. The knee joint pain causes limited movement, which can cause dependency problems among the elderly and also reduce the quality of life of the elderly. The results of this research can be input for health care services, particularly nursing care services in the primary care unit to improve interventions with education method for the elderly about preventing osteoarthritis and knee joint pain in the elderly.
Vitri Rokhima Dahlia Purba Copyright (c) 2024 Vitri Rokhima, Dahlia Purba https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2023-12-19 2023-12-19 6 2 66 70 10.51544/keperawatan.v6i2.4653 HUBUNGAN PELAKSANAAN NURSING ROUND DENGAN KINERJA PERAWAT DALAM PEMBERIAN ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN DI RSU ADVENT MEDAN http://e-journal.sari-mutiara.ac.id/index.php/Keperawatan/article/view/4689
Nursing round is an activity whose purpose is to overcome patient nursing problems carried out by nurses and involve patients to discuss and carry out nursing care The implementation of nursing rounds can reduce errors in care and improve better performance results in the provision of nursing care The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the implementation of the nursing round and the performance of nurses in providing nursing care at Advent Medan General Hospital. The performance of nurses in the provision of nursing care was mostly high at 56.6%. There is a significant relationship between the implementation of the nursing round and the performance of nurses in providing nursing care at Advent Medan General Hospital with a p-value = 0.002 < 0.05. Therefore, it is better to carry out the continuous nursing round so that it can improve the ability of nurses in providing nursing care and as one of the aspects of monitoring evaluation in an effort to improve nurse performance.
Eva Kartika Hasibuan Adventy R. Factors that cause an increase in blood pressure include high blood cholesterol levels. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between body mass index and total cholesterol levels with blood pressure (BP) in hypertensive patients at the Darussalam Community Health Center. This type of research uses observational analytics with a cross sectional approach. The research population was 90 people and the sample was 47 people using accidental sampling. Data collection tools use medical record data and observation sheets. The results of research on the characteristics of respondents showed that the majority of respondents' BMI was stage 1 obesity (36.2%), cholesterol levels (53.2%), and the majority of patients' systolic BP were stage I hypertension (48.9%), while the majority of patients' diastolic BP was normal. (36.2%). In the Sperm Rank test, a relationship was found between BMI and BP where the p value was 0.001 and the R value was 0.451, meaning there was a moderate correlation where the better the BMI, the more controlled the BP of hypertensive patients. Apart from that, there is also a relationship between total cholesterol levels and BP where the p value is 0.001 and the R value is 0.472, meaning that there is a moderate correlation where the better the cholesterol levels, the more controlled the BP of hypertensive patients. Thus, it is hoped that respondents will control their body weight and total cholesterol levels to avoid an increase in blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
Lasma Rina Efrina Sinurat Agnes Silvina Marbun Henny Syapitri Copyright (c) 2024 Lasma Rina Efrina Sinurat, Agnes Silvina Marbun, Henny Syapitri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2023-12-19 2023-12-19 6 2 78 87 10.51544/keperawatan.v6i2.4665 EXPERIENCE OF DISASTER NURSING SIMULATION BASED ON THEORY PLANNED BEHAVIOUR (TPB) IN THE CITY OF MEDAN http://e-journal.sari-mutiara.ac.id/index.php/Keperawatan/article/view/4848
Disaster is an event or series of events that threaten and disrupt people's lives and livelihoods caused by both natural and/or non-natural factors.
